Bangladesh: Minor Hindu girl murdered after rape, Surman Ali arrested

Persecution of Hindu minorities is continuing in Bangladesh. This time a minor Hindu girl raped and murdered in Sultanpur village of Nabiganj upojila (Sub-district) under Habiganj district.

As per information, dead body of Popi Sarkar(11) was recovered from a field on 27th of September. Later, it is came to light in postmortem that she was raped and murdered.

On very next day, Digindra Sarkar, father of the victim girl lodged a police complaint in Nabiganj Police Station against Surman Ali and three others. In his complaint, he accused Surman Ali of rape and murder of his daughter.

Later, investigation officer Harun Ur Rashid launched a manhunt and arrested accused Surman Ali. Police said that accused Surman Ali confessed his crime during interrogation.
